The Future of Social Media

In my opinion I believe that the future of social media is going to be so much bigger than any of us can imagine. Think about how far we’ve come over the past few years in the world of social media until now, and the changes are astounding. Ten years ago social media was hardly on the minds of individuals, and now it seems to be something we think about every second. When something interesting happens in our lives, we think to tweet about it opposed to calling up one of our friends and telling them first. Literally almost everything these days can be done online, from schooling to people’s careers.
I think the world of Web 3.0 will really take off over the next few years, or perhaps even sooner. Since Web 3.0 is considered to be sort of like a personal assistant I believe this will go over well with many people. Though I hate to say it but as a society we are getting lazy, and with the idea of this personal assistant like web browser, people will definitely enjoy it. People are going to start spending more and more time online if browsing becomes this simple.
The days of complaining that you don’t have enough time to be on the Internet are apparently over with the idea of Google Glass. While I think this idea is a little bit insane I do believe that this may in fact be the future of social media. The idea of Google Glass is that it gets you away from being glued to your smartphone, and be able to do other things. “Google Glass might offer a solution to this problem, giving us a way of using the outboard brain of the Internet while still being able to do other things. Glass was created, according to Google, to "be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don't." (http://www.techradar.com/news/video/google-glass-what-you-need-to-know-1078114). All we need is for Google Glass to become more readily available and I think we’ve got the next new thing!
Overall I think the future for social media is bright. With many new ideas and technology advancements coming out so frequently there’s no telling what could happen next.
